Week 641 🌺 A Challenge for Kath

Good morning everyone, Brenda here with this weeks challenge which is a rather special one and we are hoping lots of you will join us in remembering our DT Kath and celebrating her style of craft.

Kath had chosen the theme for this week months ago, she was always so organised and would choose themes and prepare her work weeks and sometimes months in advance. The them she had chosen was Favourite Stamps, so we are sticking with that and adding an option to include her love of paper piecing and flowers, something all who knew her associated with her pretty creations......

****Favourite Stamps with the option of Paper Pieced Flowers****

We have several prizes, the first a floral Woodware stamp from Craft Stash, one of Kath's favourite places to shop.

Next a winners choice of four digital images from Ruth Hamilton Design

A £12 voucher for digital images from the winners choice of store. It has been been kindly donated by one of Kath's crafting friends, she did not want to be named but wants to help make this a special challenge, thank you for your kindness.

Canary Bird Rose was Kath's favourite Chocolate Baroque stamp, this will be for a winner who follows the Paper Pieced Flowers option.

Kath loved her DP's so there had to be some for a prize, this is an 8x8 pad. Kath was an avid 'collector' of it and always vowing not to buy more, but we all know that story!

Another prize also donated by a friend of Kath's who also wished to remain anonymous, our thanks to you for being so thoughtful.
And yet another prize of a set of SU stamps called 'Happiest of Days', again from a friend of Kath's, you crafters really as all so very kind and Kath would have been so taken back to realise how much she meant to so many of us.

The prizes keep coming, I am overwhelmed by peoples kindness and I know Kath would have been as well, another of her friends would like to send some ribbons to another winner.

Ruth our Resident Guest Designer and one of this weeks sponsors joins us again with a pretty card using her Cosmos.

And here is the inspiration from our lovely Design Team. Kath had a particular love of Woodware, Penny Black and Chocolate Baroque stamps, especially florals and the team have incorporated those into their creations so beautifully this week, I know Kath would have been very appreciative of the time and love put into each of them......

Both paper pieced using Canary Bird Rose and Life is so Much Better
Penny Black Whispers
Penny Black 3602K Dotted Petals

Myself and the Design Team are looking forward to visiting all your entries and send our thanks in advance to everyone who joins in.

Lovely cards by the DT and you Brenda. I'm off to choose a flower stamp to play with! Lovely tribute to Kath - although I KNOW she would be blushing at the thought of it and amazed at the amount of people who miss her.

Hugs, Sarn xxx

It does my heart good to see this lovely tribute to Kath. I once mentioned stencils as 'being all the rage' and she said she'd have to opt out of the rage then as she didn't have any stencils! It seems that she has made paper-piecing all the rage today and I think that would have pleased her :) Sending hugs to you all - I know you must miss her. Vicky x

Thank you, Brenda, for doing this tribute to the wonderful lady crafter and friend that Kath was to so many. Please leave me out of the draw for prizes. I'm pleased to be a part of this remembrance post for her. Hugs, Darnell

Hi there ladies- what a wonderful tribute to our beloved Kath. And such a perfect theme as well as the additional options. Wonderful DT cards as always of course, all so poignant. 'Tis my Birthday today and I spent a lovely afternoon remembering Kath and making my entry - hope to make more if possible but am still struggling after the fall. This has done my heart and soul good to push and knuckle down - favourite stamp(s) - tick, floral - tick, paper piecing - tick! Now to write a blog post, take a photo, edit it and then link in - but I suspect a steak dinner could be calling before I finish that bit! Bless you girls for hosting this marvellous Challenge for Kath.

Hugs

Di xx

Beautiful cards, and a fantastic tribute to Kath. Having been away from crafting for quite a while before this summer I didn’t know Kath, but it is wonderful how her craft friends have pulled together to honour her memory xx❤️

Hi ladies

Lovely cards from everyone. What a great tribute to Kath.

Please don't include me in the draw for the prizes, I just wanted to make a card in Kath's memory and add it here.

Love Jules xx
