Allsorts Challenge Week 33 - New or Old (plus a sketch)

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

We hope that you all had a lovely Christmas and that you are ready to jump back into the world of Allsorts challenges.

Before we start though we have some wonderful news to share - one of our teamies
Amanda (Scotspanda) has given birth to a gorgeous baby boy........ALFIE.
He was born on 31st December weighing in at a whopping 9lbs.10oz - well done Amanda.
All our love and good wishes are wending their way to you and all your family.

Next, a very big thank you to everyone who entered our last challenge of 2009. We know how difficult it is to pull craft work in alongside all the demands of the festive season
- but lots of you managed it.

Make sure you check to see if you were our randomly selected winner
or if Debs has chosen you as one of her Top 5!!

Our very first Allsorts Challenge in 2010 is being sponsored by Funky Hand.

Funky Hand produce backing paper CDs
and downloads for card making, scrapbooking and craft projects - click on the logo below and you can see all that is available in their gorgeous on-line store

The CDs are fantastic but the downloads are great too
- especially if you are like me and want to play with things immediately!!! LOL!!!

the prize this week will be a copy of the Funky Hand CD "Funky Daze".

I (Jules) have the honour of setting the first challenge of 2010 and for this week's challenge you can either:

show off your new Christmas craft goodies

or

be good and use up some of your old stash
(I bet this was one of your new year resolutions !!)

If like me you didn't get any craft goodies from Santa this year but you want to use something new then there are some free papers that you can download and use from the Funky Hand website here.

Some of the DT worked with the free papers - just to give you an idea of what they are like!!

SO

Choose either of the above
but then follow the sketch below

Here are the DT examples to give you some inspiration

We are all looking forward to visiting your blogs to see what you create.
Happy 2010 crafting!!

Allsorts Challenge 31

Happy Saturday everyone and welcome to another Allsorts challenge where it is my turn, Brenda, to host the challenge. If you are like me you are getting a bit fed up with Christmas cards so I though this theme would make a nice change:
............................................................................................

"Pearls and Swirls"
..............................................................................................
Of course if you still have Christmas cards to make then we would love to see them and pearls are swirls will fit very nicely, but equally your project can be for any occasion and can be anything from a card to a cake, the choice really is yours.
And this week our fabulous sponsors are Sir Stampalot again who have a store in Peterborough packed with a huge range of stamps and all nature of other craft goodies. And after Christmas they are moving to a fantastic new shop just a few doors away from their present location, but much much larger and with plenty of free parking. Their on line store will continue as previously providing the swiftest delivery service I have ever found. And if you have any questions about new craft goodies you think you might 'need', Andy and Janice are always at the end of the phone or in the shop to offer friendly and knowledgeable help.
..............................................................................................

This week we have a Guest Designer, please join me in welcoming Ruth. I am sure you will agree that Ruth and all the Design Team have created some really inspirational work again, what a great bunch of girls these are coming up with such fab work week after week. Please do pop along to their blogs to see how they made their creations.
